He announced with these words: We will deliver it to Akıncı in a few days | STAR

ASELSAN will increase the capabilities of Armed Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (SİHA) that Turkey uses effectively with the technologies it has supplied and will start mass production in 2023.

Haluk Görgün, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director of ASELSAN, assessed the year 2022 in terms of the company’s activities and informed the AA correspondent about the goals for 2023.

Explaining that the end of each year passes at a hectic pace due to the nature of the industry, Görgün said that all his colleagues are working to best fulfill and carry out the responsibilities and tasks assumed.

Görgün stated that they had a good time in 2022 and that their pace was close to the intensity at the end of the year throughout the year. There were also some opportunities that came up, we evaluated them, we surpassed them. We haven’t had major problems with our deliveries. Our growth targets through the good use of the last few days, our financial perspective, our punctuality with our deliveries, our ability to manage our stocks were among the goals for us. We have implemented many new projects. We’ve shared it throughout the year. Looking back, it was a year that we can call ‘successful’.” said.

– MANY RESPONSIBILITIES WERE TRANSFERRED TO ASELSAN AT SSİK

Stressing that they will start the year 2023 with the sign and order of the Defense Industry Executive Committee (SSİK) session, Görgün said:

“ASELSAN is shown trust and responsibility there. Apart from that, we also work diligently to develop new products and systems by pursuing both technological and operational activities. MİLGEM 6, 7, 8 Each of the titles, such as Building Pearl Ships, excites us. There are also projects that we will complete and deliver in 2023.”

Görgün pointed out that they will deliver the Trench project as part of regional air defense in 2023: “We are doing very well, it is a 24/7 project. The version of it, called Product-1, has been successfully completed.” . For the scope of the contract, its delivery will be on the 100th anniversary of our republic.” the phrases used.

Goergun stated that the delivery of the Gokbey helicopter will begin in 2023, that the mass production of the Hisar-A, Hisar-A+, Hisar-O, Hisar-O+ missiles will be delivered. Haluk Görgün explained that the export of each product is also their goal.

– MINIATURE BOMB GOES TO INVENTORY

Görgün explained that the armed naval vehicles (SIDA) on which they demonstrated their capabilities in 2022 attracted interest and were successfully used in NATO activities, Görgün said that they had realized a herd concept scenario. Görgün pointed out that the tests for obtaining electronic warfare capabilities for SİDAs were also successful, saying: “By directing an attack on itself at a large ship, it proved its ability to move the attack or missile to another location to move.” said.

Görgün shared that they are continuing their activities to enable unmanned vehicles in the air, on land and on water to be used in driving ability and to fulfill new tasks with the developed sensors, noting that Bayraktar Akıncı TİHA with the miniature bomb the Gained ability to aim 8 different targets, specifically air defense systems. Görgün stated that 2023 will be a year when different versions of the product called Tolun will come to life and be added to inventory.

Görgün emphasized that in 2023 they will share good news in the communication and satellite technologies, explaining that over 1800 Ulak base stations are still operating in the field.

Görgün stated that the delivery of 9 sets in the Korkut project has been completed, a total of 36 vehicles have been delivered and deliveries will continue in 2023.

– AESA RADAR HITS BAYRAKTAR AKINCI

Görgün also provided information about the eagerly awaited AESA radars: “We will deliver and send them to Akıncı in a few days. The integration activities will start there. Ground tests are performed first, followed by air tests. One of the exciting studies for us.” he said.

Görgün pointed out that they have signed systems transmitting UAV’s electronic warfare capabilities in the form of pods and made the following assessment:

“The effectiveness of these against known air defense systems was observed. If you attach this to a SİHA, we have developed electronic support units that will allow our SİHA to get closer to the target and move away from fulfilling its mission by confusing the air defense system radar from a distance of almost 100 kilometers. These have started testing, 2023 could be a year when these will be delivered, mass production will start and export will take place. We have many sensors and payloads “They have some functions that will expand existing platforms in the field of war and operation. The realization of various scenarios will be obvious with this equipment. We too We are excited. We work very closely and closely with platform manufacturers. In particular Baykar.” works very quickly and dynamically. We also strive to integrate and bring our products to market together with the same dynamic.”

– ON THE 100TH CATS PRODUCTION LINE

Pointing out that CATS camera comes to mind when talking about ASELSAN products installed on UAVs and SİHAs, Haluk Görgün gave the following information:

“Our friends have promised that we will produce 100 cameras for the CATS camera before the end of the year. You are very close. They have shown that they can produce 13 in a month. We see that 20 cameras can be produced with the lean production line that we have set up, we can expand and produce if necessary. We also develop cameras for rotorcraft platforms. We have a product that is used in attack helicopters. We will have new cameras that will adapt the new generations of these, the new generation technologies that will enable the pilot to perform his/her task quickly, healthily and effectively, and the technologies that we have developed for SİHAs. Camera, reconnaissance and surveillance represent a large family. Development activities for new generation cameras continue family, both with increasing height and improved image quality, and to make laser marking more effective and remote. We expect new versions of it in 2023, the next generation of the CATS camera. Two versions of the product, which we call ASELFLIR 500, will be realized according to their promises in the first quarter of the year. It is used on the platform. We look forward to that too. Our task is to produce domestic and national technology. Securing the trust placed in us by working with awareness of the responsibility entrusted to us.”

– 70 PERCENT OF DELIVERY COMES FROM DOMESTIC

Goergün stressed that they are using the talent, skills and capacity in the country and said that 70 percent of the supply, which will account for around $1.5 billion in 2022, will be provided domestically.

Noting that the nationalization activities are in full swing, Görgün stated that nearly 650 products have been included in the scope of nationalization, 80 percent of them have been ordered, and the order size for the nationalized products has reached $150 million.

Haluk Görgün said: “We have big mass production projects ahead of us. Radars, air defense systems, electro-optical systems, electronic warfare systems… We don’t have a ‘let’s do it all at ASELSAN’ approach. In 2023 we will be more aggressive, worthy of our 100th year, to increase the numbers and rates I have given for nationalization. 2023 will be a much better year than 2022 with our existing plants and both our products and our planned processes. We’re waiting.” he said.

– ASELSAN IS GROWING WITH ITS SUPPLIERS

Görgün said that ASELSAN has been growing and developing in terms of budget, deliveries and foreign business: “Our priority is to increase the number of employees and increase the number of engineers by 2,000, 3,000, 5,000, excluding the mandatory ones situations, which is more the approach to realize this with subcontractors. It was never our goal. We continue to share the works that we can share with our subsidiaries and subcontractors.” said.
