Tufan Erginbilgic becomes the new CEO of Rolls-Royce

Who is Tufan Erginbilgic?

Tufan Erginbilgic graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Department of Management Engineering in 1982. He then completed his MBA program at Boğaziçi University in 1986 and his master’s degree in economics from Ohio State University in 1989.

After serving as President of Retail Operations for BP Europe, he held leadership positions in various business areas at BP including Global Head of the Lubricants Division where he quadrupled profits and became an industry leader. . Erginbilgic was appointed Executive Vice President of Global Operations in 2009 and served as General Manager (CEO) of BP’s Downstream business, which encompasses the global fuels, lubricants and petrochemicals businesses, between 2014 and 2020.

He continues his work in London.

Between 2011 and 2018 he was a non-executive director of GKN plc. Tufan Erginbilgic, who joined Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) as a Partner in 2020, continues his work with a focus on the energy sector and global operations, based in London.
