SPOTIFY

Music-streaming company Spotify is reportedly offering base salaries ranging from $75,440 to $293,356 per year for certain positions in the U.S., based on fees for 133 foreign employee certification applications.

The vast majority of salaries went to positions in New York and Boston, but Spotify now allows employees to work from anywhere.

In addition, the Swedish company said it would continue recruiting in April. The company said it is focused on the technology and product side of the business, with more than half of its new hires in research and development roles. He is also building up sales and marketing staff.

TICK TOCK

Short-video app TikTok and its parent company Bytedance are reportedly offering base salaries ranging from $30 an hour to $400,000 a year for certain positions in the US, based on the fees of 256 certification applications from foreign employees.

Most salaries are for positions in the company’s offices in Mountain View, California.

TikTok has become a major player in technology and media in recent years. According to the company, its user base has seen a huge increase in 2021, surpassing one billion monthly active users worldwide. In order to meet the increasing demand, staff is hired. The company, like some of its peers, has not yet commented on whether it will withdraw hiring amid the economic downturn.

HULU

Most salaries are awarded to technical jobs, including data scientists and software developers. Hulu also has roles like marketing analyst and content manager, but many of those jobs are now part of Disney’s broader streaming division.

NETFLIX

Streaming giant Netflix has offered base salaries ranging from $40.45 per hour to $800,000 per year for certain positions in the US, based on the fees of 240 foreign applicants for employee certification.

Netflix’s workforce has grown rapidly in recent years as the company hired staff to support its growing content efforts and, more recently, gaming. Last year they added 1,900 full-time employees and ended 2021 with 11,300 employees worldwide.

However, after announcing the decline in subscribers, the publisher recently took new measures and laid off departments such as marketing and animation.

NEW YORK TIMES

According to the New York Times, the fees were received from 60 foreign employee certification applications; It offered base salaries ranging from $70,000 to $306,000 per year for certain positions in the United States.

According to analytics firm Rainmaker.gg, the company hit 1.9 billion hours of watch time in February, down slightly from January’s 2 billion hours. Its rival Facebook Gaming reached 497 million hours of watch time in the same month.

WARNER BROS. DISCOVERY

Recently, Warner Bros. Discovery and WarnerMedia, which has combined to form Discovery, have offered base salaries of up to $300,000 per year for various positions in the United States based on work visa applications filed by both companies between October 1, 2020 and March 31, 2020 December 2021.
